Has ODF support improved in MSO >2007?

An old example of its brokenness was its ODF spreadsheet support: If I create a spreadsheet in Open/LibreOffice, put '1' in two cells and ask the third to add the first two together, when I attempt to get Excel 2007 to open that spreadsheet, it complains about unreadable content, then proceeds to calculate the formula successfully, but then strips the formula out so it won't recalculate updated values 🙂

I interpret this as MS basically flipping the bird at ODF.

Last time I checked, it wouldn't read them at all, so I guess you're one up on me.

It was introduced in 2007 SP2; I'd expect all releases after that to have the feature. I'm also pretty sure that recent versions give you the option of saving in ODF or "OpenXML" the first time you run Office after installing it.
