Jesus, I was tired at 11 pm and I drank one. I was hardly able to fall asleep at 5 am...:D

Drink it only if you need to stay up. Its loaded with unbelievable amounts of caffeine. As for the taste, its not bad. Kinda like carbonated fruit punch.

i had a 40 of red bull once... drank it in about 20 minutes... then followed with a shot of 151... spent the rest of the night under the table... bad stuff, red bull... you have to go down to the ghetto to buy it too. they only sell blue bull in my neighborhood.

Heh heh... to me "Red Bull" will always be ghetto brew and not overhyped/overpriced non-carbonated Jolt wannabe.

only with mixed drinks. the bars around here have the 'raging bull' - a mix of red bull and vodka, while a 'jager bomb' is a shot of jagermeister dropped in the drink (tastes like red pop).

red bull isn't really healthy, and it's way overpriced. the mixed drinks i mentioned cost more than the average at the bar, so usually i make sure someone else is buying.

if you want to stay awake you're better off buying caffeine pills and soda.

had it a few times, and I liked the stuff, but it is just too expensive. But you wanna know something that isn't advertised too much? Red Bull has a little bit of a placebo effect too. It has no more caffeine than a cup of coffee.

"Red Bull has a little bit of a placebo effect too. It has no more caffeine than a cup of coffee."

Are you sure? I was told it was in the range of 20-25..and between the vivarin and the mountain dew and the red bull, the red bull seems to have more kick. Perhaps a placebo effect, but very much one if so. :(

yes I am sure, and I just was browsing the red bull website that was linked and under ingredients it says this:

"Caffeine is known for its stimulating effect, clearly noted above all in the circulatory system and in the brain. The caffeine content in a 250 ml can of Red Bull is approximately that of a cup of filter coffee."

Lol, do you know how much caffeine there is in one cup of regular java?

large cup of coffee, like 70 cents.

Small red bull, 1.50 if your lucky, more like 2.39

bouncing off the walls when you should be sleeping, PRICELESS.

which is BS, one cup of java contains about twice that amount...

Then you just don't mix it right, you should have 80% vodka and 20% red bull, that is the perfect combination...

One can doesn't do much for me. I guess because of my size I need 3-4 cans to get any sort of effect.

Jeez, i never knew this stuff has become mainstream! My parents sell it in their store in the little glass bottle... straight from Thailand.

Personally, i don't like the stuff... but the students from the muay thai kickboxing center across the street buys the stuff like mad. Probably one of the better selling product in the store.

Caffeine has absolutely no effect on me. I could drink as much coffee, soda, whatever, and I'll still fall asleep. Never tried Red Bull, but I'm skeptical it will work.
