Has my e-mail account been hax0red?

This is weird.

As usual I get ~50 spam e-mail/day but now it's getting weird. Almost half of them comes from 'Mail Delivery Subsystem' and 'postmaster'. They basically say my e-mails have not been delivered. Of course all of the adresses are to adresses I don't know.
So has my account been hax0red and is being used to send out spam?

Your email account is either set as a reply-to address for some spam, or your computer is infected with a lovely virus using your computer as a mass -mailer.

It's the latest virus idea. They send "Mail Delivery Retuned" or some such, and there is a file there. The user thinks, hmm, who did I send an email to that got returned? I'd better check that virus.exe file that is attatched that I sent, maybe I'll remember

hmm, i was going to ask if it was a yahoo address... CTho9305 posted a while back about a huge bug in yahoo mail's system... dunno if it ever got fixed or not.

Weird... I got an e-mail from myself the other day. It was just a normal looking message but when you highlighted the message it had a bunch of numbers and letters. It also had the world DELETE with each letter having an individual link to an IP address which I traced and originated in europe. This isn't on outlook either, I use my web based mail from bellsouth. I know 100% that I haven't gotten a virus and/or had my password comprimised. So what could it have been? :/

Really just a one time thing and if it happens again I'm sure I'd look more into it. Also I know no one on my address book(all 5 of em) haven't gotten any weird e-mails from me recently. Damn the internet!

Maybe you got the klez hanging out still. Tell it to go back to the retirement home.

A friend of mine had the same problem and after I went over and looked at her computer, this turned out to be the problem.
