"sex-positive"
Sounds like a better education then beer date rape, and football.
I am all for people expressing and learning about aspects of sexuality even BDSM if thats your thing.
But then I really don't think there would be such a thing if americans did not act like prudes.
I'd much rather see students learning to communicate in a sexually healthy way then send em to ROTC to learn to bayonet someone.
IMO

Uh, I see nothing wrong with it. No one was "caught" screwing outside. No kids were harmed. What's the problem? :)

maybe he seeks to "insult and discredit anyone who dares to disagree with [him], especially in the college classroom. Why? Because the facts of logic and history do not support the agenda [he is] seeking to advance."

I can't see a problem learning about how other people live their sex-life. But one must remember that they should follow their own feelings and not feel pushed to have a "special" way of living. If some gets a better life with S/M it's ok, and I don't find it "wrong" as long as everyone involved is happy about it. So if some learn at this week that they don't have to suppress some harmless sexual desire I think it's fine. But it must also be stated that some sexual desires are not ok, and that these should not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Typical college stuff. Probably good on balance. I agree with AEB that abstinance should have a seat at the table, but, query, who is abstaining? :)

Anyway, isn't that the reason why parents send their kids to collge-to learn about SEX? At $30K+ a year you wouldn't want them getting an HIV infection would you? Sheezh....

"has liberalism gone too far?"

How is being open about sex and sexuality a liberal issue?

Yes, of sorts. Campus Crusade for Christ was handing out literature explaining their views.

The people promoting that crap are likely all ex fundi Christians. Liberalism is for wine. When a champagne bottle goes liberal the champagne squirts out all over the floor. Poor Genesys, his ears are starting to pop imagining all that sexual pleasure.

as if 18 year olds need to be educated about sex? where the hell have you been the last 30 years? this is only a poor excuse to have a college condoned sex fest.

besides, behavior like this dosent need to be encouraged. we dont want more dead beat dads and single mothers running around screwing like rabbits and having federally supported families.

"sex fest"??

LOL!!

Did you even read the article? It read, to me, of educating people about sex in various environments. It was not a hands-on How To Have An Orgy class.

From the Western Front Online...

The name NOID may provoke some interesting images, but the underlying messages and information provided to students are meant to encourage sexual responsibility and knowledge.

The SHAIC table displayed a Jeopardy game and informational pamphlets about sexual topics and provided information about the services they have on campus.

The SHAIC provides free HIV testing and the opportunity for students to talk to knowledgeable peers through peer sexual health educators, who provide information about contraception and sexually-transmitted infections.

The Sexual Awareness Center, which is in charge of NOID, displayed a condom garden and dental dam covered cantaloupe as well as basic contraceptive information available to students on campus.

?We're not saying don't have fun, don't have sex, we just want to make it fun and protective for them,? she said.

Western Men Against Violence had a table where people could fill out a survey on what they thought the occurrence of violence is in both heterosexual and same-sex relationships.

Yeah, that sounds really, really terrible. God forbid people learn about safe sex and open-mindedness.

This is why only morons get their info from WND and NewsMax; you only get half the story and even that half is completely misleading.

Conjur! College is not for sex!! It's for learning....preferably about Jesus. Why can't everyone just be good little kids and go to Bob Jones for crying out loud? No sex and none of that evil race mixing either. Just like it should be. :p

Some info on deadbeat dads (beating the myths)

http://www.menweb.org/throop/nofather/dart.html
http://www.readersdigest.ca/mag/2001/04/deadbeat.html

http://www.abs-comptech.com/~aewhale/2020_000107_baddads_trans.html
JOHN STOSSEL Now, O?Connell and Braver have written this book about what they say are myths about divorced dads. Myths like the famous Weitzman statistic about men?s living standards increasing while women?s declined 73 percent.

DIANE O?CONNELL And that figure was a mistake. The result of a mathematical error.

JOHN STOSSEL A math mistake?

SANFORD BRAVER Reversing a couple of figures.

JOHN STOSSEL But this is cited everywhere. Three hundred forty-eight social science articles, 250 law review articles, 24 appeals court cases. That?s a famous statistic.

SANFORD BRAVER And it?s wrong.

JOHN STOSSEL Weitzman wouldn?t talk to us. But she does now admit that she made a mistake on the math. She says it was the fault of the computer analyst. It did take her more than 10 years to admit the mistake.

America is so sexually repressed it's ridiculous. This "liberalism" hasn't gone too far, IMO, it still has years of hard work ahead.
