I was looking around and I can't seem to find any info about Kerry ever being employed by anyone other than the government.

This is the nonsensical stuff that Republicans come up with and call it "original". I would respond with my own answer, but then I might be labeled as "unoriginal" by those who don't know any better, so I'll keep quiet. LOL

Ha ha, agree with you there, although I wouldnt mind being a gigolo to a heiress :)
The sex thing might be a stretch though, it'd be hard for a guy that looks like a horse-dog-man.

the question is, what does she get out of it then?

He had a private law practice in the late 70's and he worked some part time jobs while in college/boarding school.

Bush connects much better with the common man than Kerry. If Kerry IS a liberal (NOT!) he's a limousine liberal. Frankly, I can't stand the man. I'd drink beer with Bush but not Kerry.

Why the Democratic Party has committed Hari Kari with this guy is beyond me. I think the Dems have a death wish.

Robert, let's be honest here, NEITHER of these 2 connect with the COMMON MAN on ANY level. Have your beer with Bush, but watch out, that fvcker will walk out with all of your returnables when you back is turned.

Well I put them about the same Privelige. Bush has more blue blood and Kerry more money. Either way both went to primary schools that cost more than medical school. Not common man by definition. Bush had daddy give him money and daddy friends give him jobs. At least Kerry in his young life did it all his own for the most part.

Oh, I agree with all of that, but Bush is like a Labrador Retriever. Have you ever hated a Lab? Kerry is more like an Afghan Hound! I can be just as intellectually pretentious as the next guy, but Kerry raises pretention to a new art form. He actually believes, I believe, that WHAT he says doesn't matter. He appears to think that we should be happy he is even taking the time to stoop to our plebian level. Bush, on the other hand, has to rise to meet the plebians. It's natural for Americans to like such yokels. That is Bush's biggest advantage, IMHO.

I see what you mean. I've been tring to characterize Kerry and pretentious is a little to flattering... pompous is closer to the mark:)

Bush OTOH is arrogant which seems OK.

Was he employeed as a commentator with WCVB-TV or would that be a contract position?

But he did co-found a successful law firm and also co-founded a successful cookie store. But I guess those don't count since he wasn't employed by someone else.

Kerry's non-government careers

"Kerry and Roanne Sragow, an assistant DA whom Droney had suspended, opened their own practice, setting up shop at a prestigious Boston address, a skyscraper at 60 State St.

Over 21/2 years, they built a successful practice, specializing in litigation involving wrongful deaths, medical malpractice, corporate trade secrets, and what Kerry describes as "a string of relatively notorious hair implantation cases."

Kerry also developed some interesting sidelines, joining WCVB-TV (Channel 5) as a regular public affairs commentator and in late 1979 cofounding with K. Dun Gifford a cookie shop at Boston's Quincy Market. It's still there, Kilvert & Forbes Ltd. (named after their mothers' maiden names), though Kerry sold his interest in 1988. "

yes and No, Well a little Is needed. Too Much is Dangerous.

Kerry is pompous, Yet Bush is arogant in that tough guy kind of way and he feels he is always right. Ive Worked for the Kind of guys that "I perceive" Bush to Be and thought it was aggervating and counter productive.

You can be sure that if kerry does get into office his arrogance will shine through.

We are currently snow blind from 3 years 3 months of George Bush's arrogance, so it will take awhile to adjust to the lower arrogance levels.
