has kazaa been really slow as of late?

Yea, the RIAA's calling that Interdiction; they've been doing it for at least a couple of months, if not more.

have you updated to the latest version

sometimes the new version doesn't allow connections to older versions

i'm using k-lite[++] (latest) and it seems faster than normal
