Has it been confirmed yet that Verizon wireless will get the Kyocera SE47(V5) slider phone in January?

I have headr several rumors that verizion will offer the keyocera SE47 slider type phone probablly in january, but have not seen it confirmed yet. Anybody have any more info. Also if you happen to have the slider phone already(like through virgin mobile prepay) how is the sound quality of it. I ahave heard the Simiens SL56 slider type phone has poor call quality. I am not sure if these phones are anythign alike or not.

i hear other CDMA carriers are using it and its getting pretty good results. but that means verizon would have to negotiate one from Kyocera, and then test it. And Verizon does VIGOROUS testing. it takes awhile for a phone to come out. like the FCC has just approved the VX7000 last week, but the rumored time for release is June of 2004. 7 months of testing and training.

jeebus, all i want is a frickin bluetooth phone from Verizon. does the Kyocera support bluetooth? it's unfortunate that Verizon has the poorest selection of phones considering how large they are.

the CDMA version was approved: Approved Aug 14, 2003.

and after browsing howadforums, a lot of people are saying it is being tested and expect it in january. im assuming because of verizons crazy testing methods, if it isnt out in january, expect it a couple months after.

i dont think there is any CDMA bluetooth phones yet, at least one that doesnt use a bluetooth adapter. if there is one, its a low amount of perhaps outdated phones.

No nothing speacial about it. I just think most of verizons current selection blows. I want something small, but would prefer it not be a flip phone, although I could get over that if it was a real nice flip phone.

verizon needs to get NICE nokia, motorola, or sony ericsson phones... if they had those I would sign-up with them in a heartbeat

I haven't really looked much at Tmobile Rossman, they don't have too great of coverage in Ohio. But I agree they don't have the greatest selection either.
