hallucinations. no different than someone saying that they're hearing "voices" in their head telling them to kill people. out of curiosity, what did God tell your friend?

Now I think it's fine if someone talks to God, but I draw the line at God talking back. What do I say to her?

Do you mean by a burning bush or a booming voice in the sky? No.

But a sudden and random "impression" felt in my heart that inclinded/willed me to do a certain thing for a person that truly made a different in his/her life and in mine? Yes.

How God "speaks" is as different as each and every person.

Even though I'm not religious, I know some people perceive events in their lives as signs from God and act upon them. Most of the time I have no complaints with that.

But God speaks to her, literally. She described his voice as mid 30s (how she pinpointed age, I do not know). She talked back and they had a conversation.

I believe your friend should see a head doctor, there was this guy, i forget his name, and god actually talked to him too in his mind... and then he killed a lot of people... ohh thats right, his name was almost every serial killer ever...

The women who was recently found not guilty for by temp insanity for systematically drowning her childern said God told her to do it too. If my friend ever said anything of this sort to me *an actual voice in there head* i would make sure they had help... this is no knock on religion, this is making sure your friend doesnt do something to harm them self or someone else.
