Jump the shark? No.
Not as good as it used to be? Probably true.

But to be fair, what made it so great was that there had never been anything like it before. A lot of the novelty has worn off.

Personally I think it sucks now. They should have never brought it back.

They should bring back The X-Files though, with the original cast. I would watch TV again!

Anyone over 25 watching cartoon sitcoms has jumped the shark.

No they haven't.

Yeah that is a bit broad. But you have to admit, 30+ watching cartoons is too weird. I dont care how "adult" you make it.

I have to disagree. Have you watched Family Guy? The humor and cultural references are geared towards people in their late 20's and early 30's. The show is not written for children.

I'm suprised nobody has asked "what the heck does jump the shark mean?"

I remember when Fonzi jumped the shark.
It really did make you think "oh, jeez... it's over."

People complain about it every week, it was never that good of a show, it's always just been mediocre with good laughs here and there.

Why? They're stories geared to adults. It's like you're saying "Any form of entertainment that is drawn is for kids."

A lot of cartoons are geared toward adults. The simpsons, South Park, Family Guy, Futurama, etc...not to mention that the original Warner Bros. cartoons were also made for adults as well.

As if kids don't understand the hilarity that?

I used to like family guy, but I found last season (I believe it was last season) lacking in humor. It just didn't make me laugh..

I believe it was last season. The last episode I remember watching consisted of singing a lot about 'my shapoopi' or something similar.

Only one of my friends is cathlolic, but he would probably find it the funniest (due directly to a lack of maturity rather than religion) :p

I bought up to season 3, and i will stop there. Bunch of those eiposed even anger me when they try to kill time with those scenese that come out of nowhere and drag it for minutes. Really, those aren't funny. To be more specific, stewie talking to brian about his book and making fun of him in a high piched voice.
