Has Enterprise been canceled?

Its going through reruns now, not cancelled. They are not going to have new shows every episode. I think the earliest there will be a new episode is sometime next month.

Probably not. From experience, all Star Treks series have had a slow start... so they know not to judge the show on only 1 or 2 seasons.

Enterprise has a 7 season contract with UPN, UPN can't cancel them until they have completed 7 seasons or both parties agree. It was one of the stipulations before they made another star trek series.

No, it hasn't been canceled, they're on the normal winter hiatus as far as new episodes go(they're still filming, but production time per episode is > 1 week, so they have to squeeze some repeats in there). New episodes start January 14th.

Should be, it blows

The first couple of seasons for EVERY Star Trek series sucked in the beginning. The original didn't become popular until it was actually cancelled. TNG certainly didn't become big until the 3rd season or so. And everybody thought DS9 and Voyagers first season 'blew' too (and they do if you actually watch it).

I think part of the problem a lot of people have is that Enterprise takes the "Star Trek Universe" and and shoots it out a torpedo tube, ruining the whole idea to making it part of the series.

What do you mean by that?

I haven't watched it, so i have no clue. But i remember all the arguments and complaints made about DS9 and Voyager in the beginning. DS9 because there's no action, it's all based on a outpost, and it's more a soap than real Star Trek of exploration. Voyager because things were so unrealistic, that people across the Galaxy can speak the same language, etc etc.

They screw with the timeline all over the place (I don't even follow trek that closely and I notice it). As for your language comment, they supposedly carried a "universal translator" that can translate any language, kind of like the Babel fish. It's the usual kind of BS that scifi shows create to get around difficulties.

Nothing tops TNG. Enterprise blows. I tried to give it a chance, but it failed me one too many times.

While DS9 was indeed more like a soap, when the Domininon Wars started it led to what were wiothout a doubt the best Star Trek episodes ever to grace the screen. The space battles were on a level with Star Wars in scope, they were amazing. Id say for characters it was my favourite too.

I'm somewhat ok with the idea of a Universal Translator, but when they had an episode that featured cross-species fertility between races from the alpha and delta quadrants... That was a bit ridiculous.

One of the main problems with all of the Star Trek series was that the aliens aren't alien; they're just humans with those silly forehead prosthetics.

That was explain later in DS9, certainly wasn't explained when Voyager began.
