Has display quality gone up in the past few years?

Hey guys just a quesiton. I have a question. I have this display that I bought a about 3 or 4 years ago it's a 30 in lcd tv. If I were to buy a current 30 in that's on sale these days for around $350. Is it any better? Or have screens come to a point where only screen size is the main differentiator?

It depends on your current TV. Screen quality has gone up very slightly at the lower end, but there is still a big discrepancy between today's $350 TVs and yesterdays $2000.

Unless your current TV has some really terrible image quality its most likely not going to be a big upgrade or even noticeable. You can always go to a store to check some out, but be wary because things always seem more..."magical" in stores.
