under most benchmarks, there arent any significant difference between it and its older sibling, the a7v and a7pro, which i had both. however, there are significant in real world applications. one that i have notice a great increase in performance is 40% faster in mp3 encoding from the a7pro.
the new motherboard also sports the promise raid 0 onboard. i have 2 maxtor 7200rmp drives hooked up, and its pretty sweet. so far it has been pretty stable. i do experience a duplicable crash with the latest sandra. just open and close sandra will cause blue screen under windows 2000. another potential bug is that when reset by using the ctrl+alt+del buttons, the system will post into bios safe mode.
all in all its a nice board and with a lot of nice features.
