I just built my first computer -- a 3500+ with the Neo2Platinum, OCZ 3700EB and a thermaltake HSF. I figured that I'd run it stock for awhile and then overclock once i finish adding extra drives and tidying all the wires.
Does anyone know what kind of decisions the automatic overclocking feature of the Neo2Platinum will make? For instance, will it run the RAM asynchronously or use non-optimal FSB speeds just to achieve the desired overclock? I suppose I could try it and then see what it changed, but I'm on vacation right now, so i don't have that option and i'm bored.
I was thinking that I'd try the automatic overclocking feature before i do manual overclocks just to see how the heat ramps up. Right now, the motherboard reports CPU temps of 40-42C at stock speeds.
