Has anyone used Microsoft SQL Reporting Services?

I'm starting an internship on Monday and they just told me that they want me to research SQL Reporting Services. Have any of you worked with it? Can you recommend any good resources for learning the ins and outs of using it? Books or websites would be great. Also, how would you compare it to Crystal Reports? I've worked with CR before, but I'm completely new to Reporting Services.

I had the beta MS class on Reporting Services. It's a pretty darn good program. Not quite as powerful as CR, but it's free and will do most of what is needed.

The instructor and several other developers I've spoken to all rave about "Hitchhiker's Guide to SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services" book and say it's clearly the best. I've got it on my bookshelf but haven't flipped through it yet. My current project is running over and it'll be another couple weeks before I get SQL Reports up and running and start doing something productive inside it.

SSRS is great. It is 100 times easier to use than CR if you are familiar with Access Report development, yet it is much more powerful than Access. I have the Microsodft Sql Server 2000 Reporting Services Step by Step book from Microsoft Press but have barely touched it. The Help information on the product is very good and the sample reports and database are all you need to get started.

Yeah, I watched the demo on MS's site, and it looks very similar to Access Reporting. I think I like it. Nice and simple, integrated into VS.NET, and still powerful and good looking.
