Has anyone used "Cacheman" successfully?

I just downloaded a program called Cachemanthat is supposed to really help to tweak RAM settings. It seems a little deep and I was wondering if anyone had luck with it. I've read a couple of good reviews on it and it seems to be able to adjust things like mem swap file usage and chunk size. Anybody have experience with this program or at least a couple of performance boosting adjustment tips? Thanks

yeah, the optimizations aren't noticeable enough, and can cause buffer underruns if you forget to "unoptimize" it. You may also get stuttering graphics in games. To me it's not worth it.

There's gotta be a few more people in AnandTech land that have used this program. Do you like it, hate it, think it works or think it's a resource hog (like me). Some input would be appreciated.

I use it,don`t get any game stuttering,I find it works quite well anyway it`s free so you can try it & if you don`t like the program uninstall it,do try different cacheman settings to get the best out of your system.

🙂

I've used it for over a year and it's an great program. Its an essential program IMO if you are running windows. Go here: Tweakfiles and here: 3dFiles Tweakboard

Do a search on the 3dfiles tweakboard for posts related to Cacheman.

Outertech just released a long awaited update to version 4.0 that made the program even better IMO.

From my experience, Cacheman has always improved my performance, though it sometimes takes some time to find the right settings for what I am doing.

Its worked wonders on my system...normally Id have about 10mbs left when I boot into windows, now I generally have over 50...and I noticed some games were less stuttery now
