Has anyone upgraded from Ti200 to FX 5600?

Me and 4 co-workers all bought overclocked Gainward Ti200 cards awhile back. I was the first to traitorously turn it in for a Ti4600 (though the difference in improvement was minimal believe it or not), and recently two more swapped theirs for Ti 4400s. Now the last one still in possession of their Ti 200 is considering surpassing us all and getting an FX 5600. Their question: is it worth it in terms of performance?

Yeah - that person should consider getting a 9500/9600 Pro instead 🙂 And if its the 9600Pro remembe to tell him/her to p/c that sucker far far away!

The 5600FX is a joke, it offers performance close to a TI4200! Get a Radeon 9700 NP for $199 at mwave.com.

i talked to a friend of mine that upgraded from a gf2 to a 5600 i believe. he said he wasn't to impressed... i upgraded from a 4200 (clocked @ 4600 speeds +) to a 9700 pro and honestly i don't think it made a "huge" diff. that is just comparing it using everquest.. not as big of a diff. as i was hoping for at least.

Turn on 4x FSAA and 8x Ansiotropic Filtering for your "big difference" between the two.
Enjoy the prettiness! 😀

the FX5600 is around Ti4400 range in games.

There are MAJOR problems with the geforce FX series and the SiS655 chipset, buyer beware.

I guess the 256 MB of DDR wouldn't make much of a difference...?
