I have a Barton 2500+ and I am considering unlocking it with the silver laquer technique. Has anyone done this and had problems? Has anyone done this succesfully?

if your core isn't unlocked already then its locked and can't be unlocked. its not like the old days where you could just connect some bridges

actually you can unlock them now. You need to jump a few of the bridges with silver laquer so it is a bit harder to do. Check this out.

Dude, that's a real old article on unlocking the old palomino core XP's and has nothing to do with unlocking a present day manufactured Tbred or Barton core XP. There have been numerous attempts made to unlock these newly locked XP's by people far more experienced than you or I with no success whatsoever. The only unlocked XP processors being sold now are the mobile XP's. If your 2500 is presently multiplier locked, then you are just SOL with that proc.
