Has anyone tried unlocking their Athalon?

I would like to do this to my CPU so that i can overclock even more. Right now my memory is holding me back because it is Crucial 2700 which doesn't oc very well.

It seems damn simple actually. Lol but dude, your system isn't being held back by your cpu. it's the vid card man...what gives? A system like yours deserves at least a Radeon 9700 Pro.

The new Bartons are hard-locked. They can't be unlocked at all.
EDIT: It's ATHLON. Not Athalon.

Ya but you can turn the new ones into mobiles by painting the L5 bridges, then mult. control is available through software in windows or right in the BIOS on newer chipsets.
