Has any of you tried the Thermaltake Smart Case Fan 2 ? I have 4 of them on there way to me and would like to know what I can expect from them.

They draw an extreme amount of amperage, so whatever you do, don't have them drawing power from your motherboard's three-pin header.

They actually make them where it's not possible to plug into your mobo's 3 pin header. The 3pin thing on them is just for monitoring. I have one on my AMD machine w/ an SLK800. The actual power thing is some strange 2 pin arangment.

That's good. I thought they split RPMs to one 3-pin, and power/ground to a second 3-pin.

Actually, they might've changed the design, because I do recall a guy frying his mobo header with his SF2 a while back.
