Has anyone tried that Doom 3D patch?

I downloaded this patch that is supposed to make "any" version of Doom much more playable with 3D effects and such. The executables are "J Doom" and "Doomsday". I couldn't get it to work on my registered version of Doom II. If anyone has tried it and had luck, I would appreciate some feedback as to how you got it to run and if it's worth re-Dooming. Thanks. This site is where I got it and they think it's the s***. New Doom
