Has anyone tried Samsung 191T flat panel?

This LCD display looks pretty cool, but how does it perform? Any dead pixels? How's the response time in real life?

Oh... and the 1280x1024 resolution isn't 4:3 ... will this have any effect on the geometory of the images?

i got 4 of these guys, i think its my vid card.

dual ati radeon - not very bright.

dual matrox g400 - pretty nice

I tried single geforce 2 gts on counter strike - it was pretty bad.. i thought the response time was 25ms but it was ghosty

text is clear, graphics isn't bad..

Do you mean the VX 2000? It sure reads like the new thing - maybe 3X LCD is really a brand name for FFD... just a thought.

I've got one and I love it. Colors and brightness are very good. I uste the DVI input from my retail Radeon 8500 and 2D is superb. 3D is also vey good. I play FPSes like MOHAA, RTCW, SOF2 and notice little to no ghosting at 1280 x 1024.

Small footprint and runs cool as a cucumber.

Edit - Zero dead pixels and I don't notice any of the 4:3 vs. 5:4 thing that folks talk about. Images look good on the screen. There's been lots of discussion about this in the big, giant LCD thread over at Ars. I highly advise you to set aside an afternnoon and read that thread. You'll learn a lot about LCDs.

FFD is not 'advanced liquid crystal panel technology' - it's a relatively minor change in the circuitry that tells each pixel what to do. 🙂 The panel doesn't need to change for FFD to be effective.

That is only a problem on a CRT from my understanding. An LCD has square pixels, so nothing would be stretched anyway.

Samsung is doing pretty well... no, EXTREMELY well in the LCD market. There's a good reason for it; (in my experience) no dead pixels, little to no ghosting, and crystal clarity.

Also, I like LCDs for another reason; they don't hurt your eyes nearly as much as traditional CRTs. I can sit in front of my LCD for hours and still my eyes don't hurt. On the other hand, the low end monitors at school can be SEEN flickering like heck, and 15 minutes makes you want to close your eyes for a nice, long minute.

Like the comment about the small footprint, sure takes a whole lot less space! I have like 20% more desk area now, lol.
