Has anyone tried running Xbox Live with 802.11b?

I already have an access point in my house and my brother has an Xbox, which for various reasons it is not feasible to run an ethernet cable to it from my room.

MS has an FAQ on it and says it's possible but not officially supported:

Does anyone have any information on this?

You need one of these and a WAP ( Linksys WAP11 for example ). If you'd like to go fully wireless and hit the net, get the WET11 and a Linksys BEFW11S4 (WAP and router). That's all you'd need to get your XBox online (XBox Live that is).
