I'm just wondering whether anyone has try this and if it's any good?
My friend just bought this and is trying to install the driver for it. You have to plug it in to a Notebook or pocket pc so you can use it in the car. I wonder if this is a potential for accident too

i think it doesnt include voice turn-by-turn directions which could make your friend more prone to an accident.

Are you saying there's no voice instruction and you have to actually look at the screen?
How accurate is this? Do they display correctly the position of the car while your car is moving?

No voice instructions, but trying to figure out where you are on a paper map could cause you problems also.

It will purely show where you are on a moving map.

Get something like Routis or Destinator for turn-by-turn directions.

How expensive are they? The microsoft solution is pretty cheap but it sounds like it's unreliable.

Do they have a GPS already?

If they only have a laptop, one solution is the garmin gps 18 deluxe.
