...on the vibrating razor topic...
The batteries are sold WITH the razor, so you were BUYING the batteries.
P&G owns Gillette and Duracell.

If I remember correctly, they were sued for showing images of hairs being lifted by the vibrations even though that doesn't happen.

oh they use different refills than the regular fusion?

There are fusion & fusion proglide refills, and I believe each has a power & manual version (based on the razor).

I recently got one of the fusion proglide w/ flexball and it really feels no different from any other razor I've used (from cheapo bics to double edged safety and everything in between). I do really like the single touch up blade on the back, really helps keep the beard shaped well.

Yeah for years I tried to get away from Gillette (mostly because their business model is a chapter in my MBA books on how to screw customers) but that back blade is something I kept missing.

Recently I got a Schick Hydro 5 Blade and it lets you pull away the moisture strip for those areas:

After one shave I threw all my Gillette stuff away.

Isn't Schick's business model exactly the same as Gillette's?

With way lower margins. The Schick refills are half as much, but work as well or better. I am too lazy to ever shave with a real razor so getting a little screwed is better than getting really screwed.

I just use my electric razor. Yeah I don't get baby smooth, but I also like rocking a 5 o clock shadow. I don't look good with out facial hair of some kind. I haven't used a regular razor on my face in years.

I do still shave my sac/shaft/taint with a real razor though. Which btw, I've found using my gf's razor brand wayyyy better than any shave I've gotten with men's brand. I got just as close a shave, but much less razor burn. Those men's razor blade manf. have been holding out on us!!!

I don't use this myself, especially not near my balls, but more blades has to be better right?

Heh...I used that razor for 6 months and hated it because it didn't have a back blade.

Then, one day, I accidentally folded the top of the razor back :D

Sure, but you have to think about it. All I have to do is drag that large five blade head across my face like I am mowing a lawn.

Thanks to modern razors I could shave completely drunk or super tired (which does happen) with no nicks or cuts.

It's a gimmicky ripoff. They only give you one refill instead of two, and the refill packages are $2 more.

I have found the 'power' cartridges and non power are the same other than color...is this the case with this?

So far every time Gillette has come out with a new handle/system I get a better shave and the blades last longer.

QFT...no mirror, just quickly shave and I have to be a real klutz to even nick myself.

DE and straight razors no longer shave as close and you have to be very careful, esp with the latter.

Now if I go to a pro, that straight razor shave is extremely close for longer than my Gillette.

I just use Harry's brand razors, The prices are fair and they send me refills based on me needing 8 refills every 2 months. Win for me.

I don't shave. Had a beard and stache now for.. 10 months? I mean, sure, I have to trim up the neck every once and again, but rarely shave.

I signed my son up for the dollar shave club. He shaved twice in one month on the first blade set and boom, another package came with more refills. I think we'll keep him on this for a year or two and he'll be set for college. He's going into the 8th grade this year.
