Has anyone tried Dachshund software "Hare" Windows accelerator?

I just came across this utility here called Hare, which is supposed to speed up Windows OSes. I'm just wondering if anyone has tried it and found it to be useful (or to really work for that matter), or found it just to be rubbish??

I tried it a few years ago (when I was still running win98 I think).

It was complete and utter rubbish. It did nothing.

The best Windows accelerator I know of is adding more ram.

Come on guys. It has an 88-bit kernel. That's more than twice as powerful as the regular kernel!

If it does anything besides look pretty, it probably just makes some registry changes that any other tweaker can do.

Yeah, I'm abit sceptical of that 88-bit kernel. Anyway I downloaded it to try it. So far it seems to be stable but cant say that I've noticed a real performance difference. A couple of programs like Photoshop and PhotoExpress **seem** to load faster, but it's hard to know if I'm just a victim of the placebo effect.... According to the benchmark wizard in Hare, it has accelerated the computer 213% LOL

The funniest thing is the "HolyVision" utility which *claims* to speed up rendering. Sounds abit dodgy to me.

Hare determines automatically what program you use, and how much CPU it must allocate to it.

It's like... um, boost priority for active app, but with 88-bit kernel
