I know there was all this talk of it not working properly on XP and wanted to see if anyone has had any luck...

yeah i did, no hitches at all.

Just have ur driver disks on setup of winxp, press.. ermm.. was it F6 when it says something on the lines of 'press F6 to install aditional drivers' or soemthign when setup first starts, wack the disks in, format HD and its all good!

But i had old scsi hd's which ran slower than my seagate ide so i turfed it.. whats these problems u are hearing about?

No problems here.....running a Seagate Cheetah X15 as my primary and boot drive and have a 9GB cheetah also. No problems at all.....as was said above you need to make sure to install the correct drivers during install etc. but other than that shouldnt have any problems.

Win XP has native drivers for practically any common SCSI controller or RAID card. LSI, AMI, Mylex, Adaptec, Buslogic and a whole host of others. Don't try to make the install process more complicated than you have to.
