Has anyone successfully modded their PS2?

I have the dms 3 which I believe has 23 wires, and as blablah said there are a bunch of very small pins. But its very doable, I have very little soldering experience and was able to mod my ps2.
 
just keep in mind that if you wanna play games online i don't think you can anymore once you mod your ps2; their "DNAS" system checks for it i think...they don't want you playing bootlegs.
