Has anyone successfully imaged and mounted the first disc of SW:KotOR (PC)?

I hate keeping actual discs in my CD-ROM, so I usually make an image of each required play disc, and then mount them with Daemon-Tools. Star Wars : Knights of the Old Republic's Play Disc isn't cooperating however. I've tried Blindwrite 5, and Clone CD, with all of Daemon-Tools' emulation options.

I got Neverwinter Nights to work correctly, Bioware's last game, but maybe they've changed something with the copy protection.

Yes, this is a retail version that I purchased.

It seems as though the game producers have started to blacklist some of the emulation tools such as Daemon or Alcohol 120. I know that some of my games like Call of Duty and Max Payne 2 don't like it when I have a virtual drive enabled with Daemon.

Here's a LINK to the Alcohol support forums regarding a similar question.

I thought they just queried the drive name. I have mine changed. :) Thanks for the link.

It would be easier to just download the no-cd patches here rather than keeping a bunch of 700MB images stored on your drive.

edit: I do this with my laptop so I do not need to carry a bulky external cd-rom drive with me.

A properly imaged play disc means that I don't have to wait for a no-cd release when a game is updated. I also don't particularly like downloading executables from denizens of the shady Internet. :)
