Why? It was a good movie. And I'm not a fan of the cartoon/comics.

I have a thing about comics/cartoons made into movies... I hate them.... have yet to see a good conversion done...

The most recent one I saw was Spiderman, and I think it sucked...

To each his own... I know A LOT of people felt Spiderman was really good... so I actually rented it on DVD (cannot justify going to the theaters to see it)... couldn't wait for the movie to end...

I guess you might not be into the whole action comic thing.

How about something more toned down like, Ghost World?
I recommend you check that out, if only to recind part of your belief that comics can't be converted to good movies.

Well it's not the action that bothers me...

It's just that, when you see a cartoon or read a comic, you kinda ignore and accept all the inconsistencies, plot holes, and stuff that doesn't make sense... cuz you know it's a cartoon/comic...

But when it's translated into a movie, it becomes much harder to ignore these stuff (eg. You know in spiderman when he first realized he can stick to walls? Well they show these little hair/hooks coming out of his skin to allow him to do that... Well then, how does his feet stick to the walls? He's wearing shoes! Do those hairs actually go through his shoes?)

I also hate the fact that the comic and the movie is inconsistent... (eg. Again in Spiderman, Peter Parker in the comic cannot shoot web naturally... it's something he invented, therefore he needs to refill the web when he uses them up... But in the movie, the web actually comes out of his skin...)

It's these stuff that bothers me the most...
