The Actius is Sharp's line of ultraportable laptops. The new MM20 is based on the Efferon chip from Transmeta. Supposedly, the performance isn't great but its fine for word processing, web browsing, etc. It only weighs 2lbs!

Has anyone seen one of these? There was a lot of hype and a Slashdot article mentioning them back in March, and they said that the first shipment of them would go out at the beginning of April. I'm fairly sure I want to buy one, but I want to see it in person first.

They use the transmeta Efficion.
Someone did a benchmark on the japanese version (which has 256 megs of ram compared to the 512 over here) and
the speed was up to par with a Pentium 3 1ghz.

Fry's had the MM10 last year, so I assume they will sell the MM20s too. I'm not quite sure if they have them yet, and the Sharp's website seems to say they started shipping the next batch today.

Everyone who has seen it says it looks great, and the performance is good considering the form factor.
