Anyone seen it?

My girlfriend saw it (She's an big monty python fan) and thought that it was godawful. In her words, "If they wanted to destroy everything I loved about Holy Grail, congrats"

I saw it about a month after it opened when it still had the original cast. Tim Curry was King Arthur, Hank Azaria as Sir Lancelot and David Hyde Pierce as Sir Robin were the big names. Absolutely outstanding show, if you like Python and especially Monty Python and the Holy Grail you will absolutely love it. Don't worry about it being "broadway". It's Monty Python that just happens to be playing on Broadway and it takes as many shots at Broadway musicals as it takes at the Arthuruan legend. Go see it.

I saw it too - I didn't really like it. A lot of the scenes seemed exactly the same as those in the movie (Monty Python and the Holy Grail). So it's basically like the movie but reinacted live on stage. If you really like Monty Python you might like it, but otherwise I wouldn't recommend it.

Thanks for the info. I'm gonna run it by the wife and see what she thinks.

I saw it a couple of months ago. I gave it an 8.5/10. I had a bit of a problem hearing everything. If you're particular about how the lines are said your review will lose a few points. It's not just a reproduction of the movie, either. It's the movie with some scenes changed and new scenes added

I saw it in saint louis a few days after thanksgiving 2006.

It was pretty damn funny, but close to half the jokes (perhaps more) come straight from the holy grail, so don't expect entirely new material.

Still worth seeing.

I'd say PG-13+, but it's been a while since I've seen it. I think there were a couple of raunchy lines and there is a bit of homosexuality. I remember thinking that it wasn't a show for children. Sorry, but I don't remember enough to accurately rate how age-appropriate it is

thanks for the info, i was guessing it would be ok for the 14 year old and not so much for the 8 year old kid

and the ticket prices are pretty crazy anyway
