First of all, this post is not about movie piracy, whether you're pro or con. Take that bullshit elsewhere. Make your own post, just leave it out of this thread. This thread is specifically about the anti-piracy ads made by the MPAA, WB, etc. typically placed at the beginning of a DVD.
Now then, I hate anti-piracy ads. The only examples I had seen were these, made by the MPAA

The problem that I and many others had with these ads were that they're addressing you as though you're a pirate even though you've clearly bought the DVD. What the hell? If I had pirated the movie, I would never be seeing those ads. This is clearly an ass-backwards strategy and demonstrative of why so many people feel that the MPAA is run by morons. And they try way too hard to be "edgy" making just feel meaningless. These ads probably ended up actually creating more movie pirates.
And then WB came out with their own ad, and it's actually pretty good!

I saw it for the first time at the beginning of the Dark Knight DVD. It's cute, and it makes WB feel less like a faceless corporation. I don't mind watching it, and it's even a little entertaining. And best of all, it doesn't treat you like a pirate for buying their DVD! I'm sure I'd get tired of watching it if it were on every DVD, but I like this one a lot better than the MPAA's.
I think it's because they turn the perspective from first person (you are a pirate) to third person (this woman? She's a pirate).
