When potty training a young one, it's common to "reward" the child by calling their favorite TV character.

For example, your child uses the potty on their own, so you call up a friend/family member, tell them that your child used the potty and that you need for them to act like Anthony Wiggle for a few minutes, congratulating the child on their success.

So today I get this call....

"Hello, is Elmo there?"

Obviously a wrong number since my nieces are both potty trained.

But I didn't want to destroy some young child's dreams of talking to Elmo on their first go at a solo on the potty.

So I put on my best Elmo voice and say....

"Hi! I'm Elmo! Did you use the potty all on your own?"

Oddly enough, I only heard a click on the line.

Is Elmo a real person's name?

LMFAO!

Imagine Herbert (the pedophile) from Family Guy saying "Hi! I'm Elmo! Did you use the potty all on your own?" for hilarity.

LMFAO =) was it a childs voice or an adult.... don't think it'd be that hard to tell lol.

It was an adult's voice. But the adult always places the call.

See, I have a 3.5 year old and I went through the same thing.

The first time she ran to the potty on her own, I called up Uncle Rich and had him act like a Wiggle. I had to be Elmo for their oldest girl.

So when I get a call from someone asking for Elmo, I just thought it was that type of call.

No if they asked for Emo, I would've said, "You ever wonderrrr.......???"
