Has anyone seen Cirque du Soleil live?

What did you think? I'm going with some friends to see Alegria in Austin on May 3rd. And damn, tickets were expensive. $45 were as low as they go if you weren't a student (high school or less), child, or senior citizen.

Saw Varekai last year. Well worth the price of admission. Amazing performance.

Well, that's good then. I was planning on not going because of money reasons... but then I bought a Gameboy Advance SP, two games, and ordered Wind Waker with all the bonus stuff. So another $45 on top of that was small pototatoes.

Varekai was AMAZING. Way worth the 70 or so dollars I paid back LordJezo for. Yea..he made me pay him back. Heehee....he's my el cheapo.

But yea...Cirque du Soleil is AWESOME. Have fun!

it was one of the most amazing shows i've ever seen. i loved it! i got lucky and got good seats cuz some people didnt show up... they were like $100... my brother paid... show was in santa cruz i think..

back in the day, we would go with my parents every year when they came to the Santa Monica Pier, but haven't gone in the longest time. dying to see O in vegas, toughest tickets evar.

Saw Cirque du Soleil last summer. It was "ok". Not outstanding and not terrible.

I saw a number of TV shows in Australia, which were great but seeing them live was even better. Hubby and I saw Dralion last year and it was great, I loved it!!

Enjoyable, but I don't think its something that you really need to see live to justify the price of tickets.

I'd rather go to two Eagles games

Draelion was OK. The wife loves it but at $100 a pop for VIP tickets I'm not impressed.

Of course next year, you'll be able to see 2 Cirque performances for the cost of one game at Lincoln

Seeing them on TV does them no justice.

I've seen Alegria, Nouvelle Experience, Mystere, and O. All were EXCELLENT. I personally like the music from earlier ones (Alegria, Saltimbanco, etc) than the newer ones but the technical aspects of O and mystere are astounding. I can't wait till the new ones come to town.

BTW, a very good friend of mine got contacted by one of their talent scouts and was offered a position. She declined though. (She was one of the top ranked USA rhythmic gymnasts several years ago)

i saw Cirque du Soleil - Cirque 'O' in Las Vegas. awesome show. it'll be worth it =)

I saw their Quidam show live here in Northern Virginia about 4 years ago. We were sitting in the 2nd row. Impressive! Truly impressive!!

Quidam and Varekai .. so far, the only 2 that's been through the San Francisco Greater Bay .. awesome shows.

They came to the Beau Rivage in Biloxi about 1.5 years ago. My friend went with his gf to see it. He really liked it, which isn't what I expected. (He's not usually into that stuff)

My roomate also saw it, and liked it. I'd go, but they aren't coming to Bedford, IN anytime soon...

I saw "O" i think , or was it mystere? whichever one they play at Treasure Island in Vegas, paid 75 for the tix, definetley worth it
