Has anyone run Micron -75 RAM at PC133 2-2-2?

The RAM is speced for PC100 2-2-2 or PC133 3-3-3

Does anyone know if it will do PC133 2-2-2?

I know there is -7E that will do PC133 2-2-2 but silly me I bought the -75 stuff thinking I didn't really care...but now I might want to upgrade to a board that uses PC133 RAM 🙁

The 7E is still 7.5ns memory (133MHz rated). Crucial uses the 7E / 75 to distinguish the cas latency. Your mileage will vary, but you might be able to get it to run ca2 stable. 🙂

In my system, I have 3 sticks of Crucial CL3 -75 ram. (2) 128's and (1) 256, total 512. It runs perfectly @ 2-2-2 in my CUSL2 mobo. Are you talking about Crucial ram or generic with Micron chips?

Which part number is this? I have three 256MB PC133 CAS2 DIMM's @100MHz FSB in a dual 800MHz Pentium III setup. I am pretty sure if your DIMM's are indeed 7.5ns they will do CAS 2 at 125MHz. Bear in mind Crucial memory is high quality you should be okay and stretch it another 8MB to 133MHz at CAS 2. Best way is to take it out, drive over to your friend, try it in his 133MHz FSB CPU and find out.

I have a stick of micron bought from rjtech.com, I was getting blue screens with cas2@133, at cas3 I seem to be stable now, and will eventually be replacing that stick with a third 128mb stick of kingmax pc150, but for now 384 megs133@cas3 works good enough.

Well if it helps all my Crucial sticks have a mt printed on them. This can be seen on every black chip soldered onto the PCB. Original Crucial RAM is always made by Micron and has the mt marking. Open up your PC, take out the RAM, write down the info you see on the chips and come back here. I will check for you if Micron makes such a DIMM.

Wow thanks GFORCE100 that's a nice offer.
I'm not at home right now, but I will be in about 1.5 or 2 hours, will you be around then?

He might not be, but if you post the chip markings the rest of us will offer you our assistance.
