Question Has anyone repurposed a motherboard's USB 3.2 type-C connector or the Thunderbolt connector (e.g. for USB 3.0-A)?

I thought about rigging up two USB 3.0 ports with a PCI bracket arrangement along with an adapter and use the USB 3.2 type-C board connector.
Maybe with these two products:

Has anyone here used that sort of adapter before? What are your experiences with it?

Also, in the board manual I've just noticed a Thunderbolt connector. Does anyone here have any experiences with that?

I'm mainly asking purely out of curiosity; I was going to be asking questions about a plan I felt was necessary but with a bit more investigation and rewiring I think I can put off such plans.
