Has anyone replaced any of the top fans on cooler master haf x rc-942-kkn1 full tower

I have to replace my rear top 200mm red LED fan, and was wondering how much of a pain in the ass it would be.

Absolute piece of cake on my HAF X, although i'm confused because the case I bought didn't come with any top fans installed. Did you get a different setup of was it built by someone else? Anyway....

Take the side panel off and feel around the top of the inside of the case, there are 6-8 plastic lugs that hold the top panel on. The either push towards the side of the case or towards the centre (sorry can't be more specific i'm not at home at the moment to check) and the whole top of the case will come off. Then it is just a simple matter of unscrewing the old fan and fitting the new one. A word of warning though make sure you get the 200mm coolermaster fans and not another brand because they are unlikely to fit properly.

The reason im replacing the fan is due to the red LED lighting that's attached to the fan itself, went out. It just bothers me to see the other 3 fans w/ working lighting.

How old is the case? I'd contact Coolermaster for a replacement if it's within the warranty period.

I took a long look at it last night. I think i've got it. Fan should be in today. Thank's for the help.
