I just received a 3000+. When I'm looking at the heatsink I noticed that the foot at the end of the Cam lever is missing. You know the little tab that locks onto the lug on the retention mechanism. The weird thing is that it doesnt look like it was broken off or anything. Its just completely smooth almost like it was manufactured that way.
When I push the cam lever down it has a very solid thunk to it and it pulls the spring clips together nice and tight. I dont see how the cam lever could come loose on its own even without the foot holding it shut. So is my heatsink defective or did they just change the design?
Thanks to all who reply
