Has anyone read the book "Darkness at Noon" ?

Well, I have to write a 3-page essay for my AP European History class and its due on Thursday (2 days from now!) and I haven't started it yet because I'm stuck with doing AP US History homework! :|

Anyways, like I said, if this type of thread isn't allowed, please lock it! Now, let us commence this session...

The prompts that I have been given for writing this essay are:

1) How do the communist worlds depicted in 1984 and darkness at Noon compare to the vision of communism described in The Communist Manifesto?

2) Both 1984 and Darkness at Noon have been considered commentaries on Stalinism. How are the worlds depicted in these two novels similar to the Soviet Union under Stalin?

Well, I can't check out the Darkness at Noon book because its all gone at my local libraries. And I seriously can't order it online right now due to time limitations. So my last resort (other than interrogating my friends) is to come to you guys! 😀

So, can someone tell me what Darkness at Noon is about? 😀

Aww...you're mean! Aw well, thread closed/locked. This thread is failure and I'm just going to accept what I get. Thanks though!

If you plan to go to college you might think about learning better time management skills.

You'll be taking 4-6 classes at once that are harder than these AP classes, and 1-2 of them in your major will be a lot more work.
