I started reading LKH recently because my SO loves the books, I'm on book 4 and it is still pretty good, but I know that it degrades from here. My SO just read her most recent book and tells me that it is back to being as good as the first few.

I think all the sex in her books comes about because she was having a sexual identity crisis in real life. She has since come out as polyamorous and bisexual. I think that now that her personal crisis is over, maybe she will be able to write about other things again.

I don't think a crossover would be a good idea, their worlds work on very different principles. But I would love for her to write a Dr. Who script. A who-done-it with some supernatural undertones would fit her writing well.
I don't think you can put porn in Dr.Who, though. Maybe Torchwood?

IDK, have you seen The Misfits?
But I think you are right, Dr. Who is considered a family show, and while I would love to see LKH write something dirty for Captain Jack, I have faith that she can write someone that is not focused on sex. She managed to for the first 4 books of the series after all.

Some people say that was because her ex-husband was keeping her in check at that time...

But she CAN write like that, and she SHOULD write like that more. She seriously needs to find some balance in her books. Sex is good and all, and I like that her books to have some in it, but I think I would like some story now, thank you. ;)

EDIT: Ack! didn't make my main point
Some writers need some limits put on them to make them really shine. I think that writing a script for a show like Dr. Who might be what she needs to remind her of that.
