I will say this though: personal network outranks ANY kind of headhunting service or job website. Make connections, talk to people, get business cards, and follow up. This system got me my current (and first) job out of college and at this job, no one asked me for my GPA. ;)

In most cases you're competing against 100?s if not 1000?s of people. If you go through your network you?re usually the only one being considered for the job. Now tell me in which scenario are you chances of getting the job better?
