I liked the game, I thought it was well written and had good gameplay. In fact I played it though 3 times. Once good, once evil, and once with the special edition special class.

i thought it was highly overhyped and overrated. it was fun enough to play through the first time, but it didn't offer as much replay value as i was expecting out of a bioware game. plus once you figured out what attack beats what, it's basically a glorified rock,paper, scissors game with martial arts moves instead. I really don't think it deserved as high ratings as it got from various sites, i'd put it more at around 8 out of 10 for a fun, unique rpg.

It was "OK" with no inventory/armour/item system it kinda felt lacking in alot of RPG aspects..
the upgrade stone things just arnt enough to keep me playing again and again..
i was hoping for it to be more like baldurs gate or icewind dale or even KOTOR

good game just missing something..

I love RPGs (including KOTOR), but I didn't really like Jade Empire. Didn't hate it, but I didn't like it either.

The combat was VERY repetitive (read trapper700's comments), and the story seemed like something from a cheap Saturday morning show. That's the only way I can explain it. I just didn't see any depth.

well gaming sites were giving it 9.5s or higher, when i thought it wasn't even bioware's best game... so =P
