Has anyone noticed how cheap RAM is getting?

Around XMAS time, when I was upgrading my PC, I was given $120 worth of 128 megs of PC133 RAM... and now I see a stick of 256 megs of PC 133 as 1/3 of that... Wow.

heh, im waiting for them to give away 128 megs of ram sticks like CompUSA gave away 64 meg sticks a few months back

what's amazing has been the rapid drop in price, not that it has fallen in price

Today, I just picked up a 64MB stick of PC-100 for my neighbor's (new Hot Deal $140 e-machine) for $15 - no rebate, no price match, no hassle.

A year ago, it would have been $100.

Heck, her whole system (96MB Ram/366 Celeron/3.2GB HD, 56K modem/onboard video and sound/speakers/mouse and Keyboard) - brand new - ALL cost $300 (including new 17 inch flat screen monitor).
