Has anyone made money off of making a simple site and using Google Adsense?

Yes...we made about 3k in a little over a month on 15k of sales. All leads came from overture and google adwords. We had some problems with google disabling words becuase they didn't meet the click through rates. Probably coulda made 150k this year except the airline didn't like us selling their frequent flier miles and sent us a cease and desist letter..

Other than that we've got plans for 2 or 3 more businesses with exclusive advertising models through adwords.

We're still debating whether or not it's worth the amount it might cost us if Southwest decides they want to sue us. The conclusion we'll probably come to is no and we can come up with other ideas...

So, my sig doesn't apply at least for the next month.

I think 80% we could win against them but lawyers are 300 bucks an hour. For now, we left the website up but we're not selling anything just to see if they do anything.

You don't need a business web site.
