Has anyone installed a Shuttle box in an SUV or Minivan?

I am looking to install one of the small Shuttle computers into a minvan, and monitors into the headrest (passengers).

I am trying to find out the best video/audio switch box to use, and also how the power drain was on the electrical system.

Also... the small LCD screens put out for auto's appear to be WAY overpriced considering what you can get a 15" LCD for a computer these days.

I want to use a PCpad for games. But also need to be able to navigate in windows, to start the games etc.. Can you program the PCpads to do what is needed to start say 5 games and start the DVD player if the DVD does not autostart for any reason, etc.. I suppose I could throw in a wireless keyboard with built in mouse to navigate around windows.
The Shuttle will just be used to play movies (DVD's), and games. Perhaps later on work with a navigational system.

Anyway.... looking for someone that has done this and how it worked out.

Yeah... it just made no sense to pay $1,000's, for overpriced auto audio garb, when I can put in a computer for a fraction of the cost, and expand it big time later. I can do away with worrying about adding Nintendo games, and just use PC gaming as the gaming choice on the road. I don't need a DVD "changer", as everyone likes to pick the movies on the fly anyway. The price of an indash DVD player is just this side of rediculous.

The LCD's in the back of the seats looks to be a snap. But finding a high quality LCD monitor in the 7" range..... may prove to be the expensive part. I can't believe what they are getting for these little pups.

I would like to go with a larger monitor.... but no where to put it yet. There is already an overhead console that is taking up all the room in the headliner. That and the rear air ducts make it look like an overhead is a no go.

I plan on putting monitors into the back of the seats..... but need to find the best LCD for the buck.

It looks like the Shuttle (or the much sought after MSI MEGA), will fit perfectly between the front driver/passenger seats.
I may enclose it carefully (making sure to allow air in and out), to keep it clean looking.

Anyway..... just wondering if anyone else has done it yet.
