has anyone here won any contests/prizes?

so i got a call today for my dad. the caller stated my dad won an mb m-class and $1500 spending money. i rolled my eyes and promptly told em he's not here n hung up the phone (but the caller did spit out a call back number, which i didnt write down). this was about noonish. just started thinking bout it right now. what is the normal protocol for informing winners that they won?

i think i could try recalling the number if i thought bout it hard enough. worth it or not?

p.s. on the caller-id i noticed this caller has called a few times already but i leave my answering machine turned off so no messages. i havent gotten anything in the mail about this.

won a trip to vegas in a radio contest once. they gave me a packet of contact info for it with a bunch of codes to give to the reservation people. worked fine.

not as dumb as i'll feel getting scammed, or swindled out of some cash (or anything else for that matter) to some marketing gimmick. the gist of what u say is exactly y i posted.

dont law firms or accounting firms handle the awards process?
