Has anyone here watched Paris by Night? Pics added

I would imagine most Vietnamese and many Californians have heard about Paris by Night. It's a pretty big Vietnamese concert held every some months. It's different from other concerts, Britney Spears concert for example, is that it's not focused on any one singer, so there are probably about 20 singers. And the songs vary from traditional folk music to pop.

I've just recently started getting into watching PBN and listening to Vietnamese music; I'm embarrassed to admit the only reason I started paying attention to it was the OMFG HOT girls, but now I'm really liking the music for the music alone. Absolute favorite singers are Phi Nhung and Nhu Quynh. I'm just wondering if people have heard about PBN and if they have a favorite singer.

Why is it called Paris by Night? Reference to French presence in Vietnam?

I just found out that Loan Chau sung at my church choir. What's cool about them is that they're popular enough to tour across the country, but they're still down to earth, normal people.

Not sure, but I think the production company was originally started in France.
