Has anyone here used that Eye-Q speedreading package?

You may have seen the informercials for it. Basically it claims to be able to increase your reading speed by training your eyes and brain to take in information faster. It does this by moving stuff around the screen and drawing stuff on the screen.

I'm up early today and the infomercial is on. I did a 7-minute demo at the website. I went from 1009 wpm to 1183 wpm. The last reading sample seemed easier to read though.

Anyway, during the demo there is a sample of text that passes at 10,000 wpm.

Obviously everyone would like to be able to read faster, and 10,000 wpm would rock. Nothing would be able to stand in the way of my plans for world domination then.

Has anyone here used it? I guess I'm at the higher end of the spectrum already, from what the infomercial showed. Some people were reading like 100wpm, and I guess they make the best examples for the program.

The cost is apparently $300, which is a lot of freaking money, but reading at 10x the rate I do now would be worth it.

I'm very skeptical of stuff like this. What are your thoughts?
