The trouble is, the stong stuff is enough to kill you, while the weak stuff is less potent than Vodka.

Not really AFAIK. There are/were small amounts of psychoactive compounds in real absinthe, but by most accounts the hallucinations were brought on by a lifetime of hardcore alcohol abuse and extreme drunkeness via the absinthe (it's about 60-70% alcohol by volume...it will fsck you up). To ingest enough of the stuff for the hallucinogens to take effect, you'll probably already be passed out.Originally posted by: gigapet

You can still get the real stuff from Spain if you want to. They'll ship it to the US labeled as "spice oil" or similar.......at least that's what I've heard.![]()
