I'm studying for it right now and the Kaplan books are really good. Your best bet on finding one is to go to a bargain book store and buy last years one. I got one like that for $5. This year's version is around $37.

I've got the 2 kaplan books and 2 other books (Arco is one) from a friend who recently took it. So far I've just taken the diagnostic math test, did alrite, though I did get tripped up occasionally, then proceeeded to get pissed at myself that I couldnt solve it.

Havent done the english diagnostic yet. I'm finding it hard to just focus on studying after I get done with work at 5. I hope to be applying for Fall 2004. With 2 years of work experience in the Public sector. Let's see how things pan out.

<--- currently a database developer/web developer/IT suport looking to career change to Finance.

Aim for 700+ not 600. Then 600 will be a breeze. It's mostly learning the style of the test and the tips and tricks to save time. I aim to get over 700 to balance my 2 years of work expereince and nothing stellar 3.1 GPA in Engineering.

I plan to hold off taking the test and going to business school until I need the degree to advance to be promoted.

I would be the same way if I were applying to domestic MBA programs.

I took the test cold and got a 520, then studied for 1 week and got a 610. You are not going to get an 800. Only something like 10% of the people who take the test get over 700.

get the MBA now, because when you need it it is going to talke about 7 years to get it part time.
